Return Policy:
The mission of Herbsmith Inc. is to have a positive effect on as many animals as possible. In order to do this, it is crucial that we keep our prices reasonable. For this reason, Herbsmith is unable to grant returns due to an animal's dislike of the taste of a formula. (Please see our Feeding Recommendations listed below.) Once the seal of a Herbsmith formula is broken, exchanges and returns cannot be granted with the following exceptions:

-If the product seal and/or packaging appears to be damaged; or:

-If there is a suspected defect in the product

To request an exchange or refund, an Exchange/Return Request Form must be filled out within 14 days of receipt and faxed to: 262-367-0383. Upon review, a member of our team will contact the customer regarding the status of the request.

All refunds must be processed through the same channels of distribution in which an item is received. (For example, Herbsmith will not grant a refund to a store if they received the formula through a distributor.)

All items involved in a refund must be returned to Herbsmith Inc. for product analysis and for quality assurance.

Checks:
All orders paid for by check will be held for seven business days to ensure that funds are available. If a non-sufficient funds check is received, there will be a charge of $25 and all other costs incurred collecting the amount in question.

Payment Information:
We accept Master Card and Visa, PayPal, personal checks, money orders or cashier checks. The full amount must be payable in U.S. funds only. Sorry, no C.O.D.'s.

Shipping:
All orders are shipped via U.P.S. Ground. U.P.S. does not deliver on Saturdays and Sundays. P.S.T., G.S.T. and Brokerage Fees will be charged to the customer. No fees will be collected upon delivery.

*In the Event of a Concern: Per the Food and Drug Administration and the National Animal Supplement Council, all reported adverse reactions must be submitted into a tracking system for analysis. If an animal has an adverse reaction to an Herbsmith product, we will kindly ask for a few minutes of the owner's time to ask some questions regarding the incident.

 Feeding Recommendations:
What if my dog/cat won't eat the powder?
Though Herbsmith herbal blends are very palatable when mixed during mealtime, occasionally dogs are hesitant to eat the herbs because of the unfamiliar taste and smell. If a dog is hesitant, simply try adding a pinch of the powder during mealtime to gradually acquaint them with the blend. Slowly increase the amount given each day until they eat a full dose without hesitation.

Alternatively, you can mix the powdered herbs with applesauce, yogurt, cottage cheese or any other dense or moist food.

Also, fillable capsules can be purchased at most pharmacies. The powder can then be loaded into the capsules and administered like a tablet. Most pets easily eat tablets covered in peanut butter, cheese spread, liverwurst, etc.

What if my horse won't eat the powder?
Though Herbsmith herbal blends are very palatable, occasionally horses are hesitant to eat the herbs because of the unfamiliar taste and smell. If you find this to be the case with your horse, we suggest sprinkling a pinch of the powder in their grain at mealtime to gradually acquaint the horse with the blend. Slowly increase the quantity given each day until they eat a full dose without hesitation. Alternatively, you can combine the powdered formula with wet or dry molasses or ground flax seed.
Herbsmith also offers all of our herbal blends mixed with ground flax seed as "Flax Plus" for ease of administration.

Should I give my dog/cat powder or tablets?
When deciding whether the tablets or the powdered blend would be best for your dog, you should take into account what type of food he/she eats. Owners that feed their dogs a raw, real, or moist food diet tend to like the powdered blends because they can simply be mixed in during mealtime.

For dogs that are finicky eaters, we suggest the tablets. The tablets have the same ingredients and composition as the powdered blend, with the exception of a few binding ingredients that must be added for the tablets to compress.

For cats, it is typically easiest to give the tablets. However, it is possible to make a tea out of the powdered blend by steeping 1/4 tsp. powder in 1/4 cup of hot water. Then, mix 2 tbsp. of the tea in the cat's moist food.

Return Policy:

Expired Product:

Expired product is the responsibility of the Retailer. No returns will be accepted and no refunds or credits given on expired products.

Short-dated Product:

Short dated products with a life of six months or longer can be exchanged for other Herbsmith products. Products with less than a six month date will not be accepted. Custom formulations will not be accepted. A 25% restocking fee will be charged on all short-dated returns. All short-dated products must be shipped to the Herbsmith returns department before credit will be applied to the retailer account. Once product is received, evaluated, and deemed to be in good condition, credit will be applied to future Herbsmith orders.

PLEASE NOTE: Please ship with care! Product that is damaged in the shipping process will not be credited, so please be sure to pack your returns carefully. Do not use newspaper – discolored, dirty, or dusty containers will not be accepted for credit!

If product was originally purchased through a Distributor, short-dated product must be returned through the same Distributor where it was originally purchased. No credits will be issued until product has been returned to the Herbsmith returns department.

Our goal is to work with retailers to support and educate them on the Herbsmith line. If at any time a retailer does not feel equipped to sell the Herbsmith products or is having difficulty moving product please contact the Herbsmith office immediately for assistance with education, training, and support.
